About the Project
For this project, my team and I were responsible for creating an innovative application based solution to an issue. The issue that we chose was related to dining out. We developed our idea based on a personal need for efficient food ordering and effective display of appropriate options that we know we will enjoy.

Our solution "Finer Dining" is a method of personalizing the search for dining experiences. It utilizes a pre-existing map application such as Google, Apple, etc. that do a good job of identifying establishments, displaying reviews and ratings, business hours, etc. Our solution allows users to develop a profile of both long-term and short-term values to optimize their experience.
Research
We decided to conduct activity analysis activities to learn more about a range of dining experiences. We selected establishments that use fast food ordering, assembly line, traditional sit-down, technology-enhanced and nontraditional ordering formats. We observed the speed of different aspects of the interactions, and noted patron comments during their interactions.
From the data that we collected during our research phase, we were able to compile a list of short-term and long-term user values.

Short- Term Values:
- Price
- Proximity
- Environment
- Rating Score

Long-Term Values:
- Allergies
- Dietary Restrictions
Personas & Scenarios
Personas and scenarios were developed from our research. Each persona has a unique set of values and uses our application in slightly different ways to coincide with these values. Personas are displayed on the left, and some of the scenarios that we developed that correspond to these personas are displayed on the right.
Wireframe
Keeping our set of user values in mind, we began to wireframe our solution.
This wireframe was then developed into a higher-fidelity, interactive prototype.
